Unfortunately the weave was messed up in one place and one of the strips was actually twisted. This was completely unexpected for a Cole Haan item. Beyond the looks it does add a good 1/2 inch to an inch to the kindle width and the elastic bands were difficult to secure and can't say that I trusted that the Kindle wouldn't 'pop out' of one corner and slip out unexpectedly. If you want to store your kindle in this, but not read with the cover on, it might work. I bought this with my Kindle 2 b/c it matches my Cole Haan purse.
