The M-Edge Kindle Cover provides a safe snug fitting protective covering for your Kindle. All ports are available and the cover only needs to be removed for insertion or removal of battery or SD card.
The color is a plain looking medium dark navy and does not appear the same as the color here on Amazon. The interior is gray and should cause no problems with staining the Kindle. Upon receipt it is stiff and difficult to get the Kindle inserted, and it is unwieldy to hold when reading, but I have been told that it softens with use. There is no covering of any kind over any of the keys. Overall it will do what it is designed to do in a plain vanilla sort of way.

This cover is beautiful and looks much nicer than the one that came with my Kindle. However, the one that came with it is more practical. I like the original, because the front cover folds to the back and out of the way and is held by a strip of elastic, making the Kindle more compact and easy to read. The leather cover, will not fold to the back and is constantly open, as in reading a book. It makes it hard to bring the Kindle of out sleep, due to how it fits and the piece of elastic on the upper right hand corner, sometimes continues turning pages on my Kindle. It’s just money I didn’t have to spend and now wish I hadn’t. I actually didn’t mean to give it three stars, and now I find I can’t change that. I would give it one star for looks only.

The color is definitely not as pictured. They’ve adjusted the picture, and it is closer. However the actual product is the color of very dark denim blue.
Overall, the cover is nicely made. There is a large “m-edge” embossed stamp in the back, which I dislike. However, the biggest drawback to this cover that I can see is the clasp. It is really unfortunate. It is a simple leather tab that slides into the front of the cover, which is very awkward to open.
As expected, it is very stiff. There is a small pocket for the M-edge e-luminator light, if you choose to purchase it. It is in the inside middle, where the fold would be. This is a nice idea, as it is one less thing to carry. However, this causes a little ledge if you are the type that folds your cover all the way back on itself while you are reading making it a tad larger. I hold the kindle with my right hand, so this is not a huge concern for me.
Additionally, this cover adds a bit of girth and is larger all around than the stock cover. So, if you are fitting this into a bag, and it was a tight fit with the stock cover – it may not work with this cover. However, I personally appreciate the extra padding.
The interior is a nice light grey. There are several stacked pockets on the left side, which are also rather stiff. It would be a tight fit and require some stretching to fit a pen and pad in there. However, you could manage an SD card, business card, or room cardkey no problem.
I am very dissatisfied with the color – especially since M-edge Genuine Leather Executive Jacket for Amazon Kindle (Smooth Sapphire Blue)–New design compatible with e-Luminator booklight! (instead of the previous marble) was posted right after I received this one! If you want VERY DARK BLUE go with this one – but be warned it is very dark and very deep/dull. If you want something with some kick – try the new Oberon Design kindle covers.
